Impor- tant musical organi- zations in the United States, Australia, Af- rica, and in Europe and throughout all of South America have per- formed Edson’s works. From a very early age Edson started composing for orchestras, soloists and chamber ensembles of various types. He also teaches flute at the Tatuí Conservatory of that same city. Edson has performed with the most important orche- stras in Brazil and since 2003 he has occupied the principal flutist’s chair in the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra. We are pleased to welcome Brazilian flutist and composer Edson Beltrami to our company! Born in São Paulo, Edson studied with notable flutists not only in Brazil but also in Switzerland, France and the United States. He is also acting Vice President of the Choral Federation for Central America and the Caribbean, and is a member of the Venezuelan Society of Contemporary Music and the International Federation for Choral Music. Currently he is the conductor of Escala Áurea FAU UCV, VOCALIA, Música Venezolana A Cappella, SIES SEIS Jazz Vocal and The NeoJazz Orchestra.
